UPM Raflatac plans to increases its production capacity in Asia Pacific through new investment projects in China and Malaysia.  New investments include machinery upgrades and installation of a new coating line in the company’s factory in Changshu, China and Johor Bahru, Malyasia.  The upgrade is projected to increase production capacity by 50% in the region.

 Labelexpo America’s is projected to grow by 10% in its 25th annual exhibition in Chicago on Sep 9-11, according to its organizers.  The exhibition’s floor size will grow to 194k sq ft, and over 95% of space has been sold. The exhibition will be held again at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont Chicago, with over 400 exhibitors many of whom have significantly increased their efforts.  There will also be 62 new hosts

Independent market research company TNS surveyed nearly 1,000 small and medium enterprises in the United States and Canada discovered that 60 percent of these small and medium enterprises including self adhesive materials companies have realized that social media could effectively help build brand awareness and acquire new customers

 Because of an obvious change from an export-based economic to a consumer-driven economy, the Chinese self adhesive sector of label market continues to increase up to 15%.
